We're seeing quite a traffic spike in the 24 hours since FF 12 updates started going out and with the EOL of 3.6 I heard marketing report in the planning meeting 400k downloads in the first 24 hours.
So, please try to help answer support forum questions if you have the time! I'll try to be available on IRC if you need an admin. Also please post links to difficult questions in #sumo so the backline helpers can research them.
Thanks for all you do!!

You may also note that some questions show as no replies but actually do have replies. This is a known [edit fixed (1)] long standing problem, it tends to be more visible on sumo days because we answer nearly all questions. I think only about 4 questions remained unanswered last time.
I am rather busy with other work today, but before setting off to work tomorrow (about midnight Sumo time) I will have a quick check for outstanding questions.
Update
(1) Fixed ?
Seems Ricky has fixed that problem Today

'''Update<br>

Seems Ricky has fixed that problem Today
I know there was a complication with mods being unable to lock threads without them disappearing but what happened with the bug to lock old threads to stop them being commented on further, because they are totally out of date and already answered maybe even solved. That bug seems to have been forgotten about.
What is happening about this. There is a bug comment suggesting community feedback is required, what is that ?? and who is going to provide this. (Is it something that anyone participating with sumo day can help with ? )
Is the question that the problem is hard to reproduce ? It is sure to show up on alternate Thursdays !
Or are mods discussing whether questions should be hidden when locked ?
My 2c mods will need to be able to lock some questions without them disapearing. e.g.
some questions may be duplicate with a couple of posts in, whereas the main question; solved or not has many posts.
some will be rant type posts, solved and getting nowhere, they may contain useful info, and a recommended answer. Locking may be advisable, hiding will not be
If we hit the 100% target what next ? (I have previously made suggestions but no time to look them up again at this moment).
Good look everyone with Sumo Day :-) John

Disapearing Threads

I don't know who is supposed to provide the feedback. Kadir Topal filed the bug after we discovered the problem when a user complained that his thread disappeared from the forum lists after it was locked and I posted about it in the Moderator's forum (here). Until the bug is fixed I don't think that moderators should lock any more posts.
EDIT May 3, 2012: Discussion on this is continuing in a new thread started by Kadir, here: /forums/contributors/708337 Removing closed threads

Thanks for clarifying my terse message and for participating in SUMO day!
We had over 100 questions and to my count we replied to over 90%. You all are *awesome*!
It is likely to continue to be busy on the forum as we unthrottle the release fully next week. Please let me know if you see common groups of issues that should be noted for engineering, I'll be reporting on user feedback while Cww is on vacation for two weeks and I appreciate your help to keep tabs on emerging issues that could be widespread and need testing or eng.
Thanks for all you do!
