Just received this out of the blue message when trying today to send out: "Sending failed. "Unable to authenticate outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com Please check password and verify in account settings Outgoing Server (SMTP)" I don't know how to even see a place to check password. Can someone call me and walk me through what steps I need to do. David Wendt 704-664-9548

In the previous version of Firefox I could install a multiple language keyboard layouts in the upper right row. I had to reset everything with a new HDD an Ubuntu 24, which comes with Firefox as well. Now I can't find how to install those shortcuts. I need to use Slovenian, Italian, Spanish, German and US keyboards (UK is standard with UK English as primary choice). Thank you for your help.

I have three email accounts I access through Thunderbird. Two are hosted by the same server as my websites and one is a Yahoo account. I have been able to create subfolders on all of them for over a decade. Recently, however, I have been unable to. When I select the "New Subfolder," nothing happens. I do not get the dialog box that allows you to name it. Much of the issues that show up on the forums deal with not being able to see the new folder immediately and the solutions are usually restarting Thunderbird, but this does not fix my problem. I am unable to create the folder in the first place. I am also unable to rename existing folders.

This is a problem with all three accounts. I am able to access the email accounts through the dashboard of the website hosting company and created my new folders there. When I open Thunderbird they show up. So it would appear to be an issue with Thunderbird itself.

I am running 128.3.1esr (32-bit), which is the latest version.

Hi, on FF for Mac vers.131.x. As of last couple of months' updates, the Save as PDF title has changed to Untitled. Prior the PDF title took the name of the web site. I want the latter. How do I change Settings? cheers

Please explain in simple terms (I am not an IT wizz) how I can stop the continual popups in Firefox 128 and Thunderbird 78 on a Windows 11 OS saying “Update Available” with a Download button very easily activated by mistake.

Each time I click Dismiss, a new popup appears either immediately or very soon. The popup blocks a significant area of the screen and will not move.

I already have Update Settings on “Check for updates but let you choose to install them”. There is no option to “Do not check for updates” on these versions of Firefox and Thunderbird. I already have Windows 11 Notification Settings on “Do not disturb” and all Firefox notifications to Off.

I have found the Mozilla Support article “Customising Firefox using Group Policy” at  https://mzl.la/3bLnw2J but I do not understand it and the device I am using is not part of a group installation setup. 

There is a Step by Step guide “How to stop Firefox update notifications” on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-oXxrCCRs . This is clear to follow if I pause it frequently to absorb each step carefully. Is this safe for me to try given that I am very inexperienced in using the command line and accessing registry etc?

The Thunderbird popups have only recently started up and I would value advice on how to stop these safely too. I need this version of Thunderbird at present for particular reasons related to gmail so it is important I do not accidentally activate a download on that.

In firefox developer edition, when opening a new window of any kind, or when relaunching/opening the app, the new tab button always ends up on the left hand side. Going to the customization menu, I can move the button to the right side (next to the last tab), which is where I prefer it, however when opening any new window the button goes back to the left side

When I go on different websites, my location shows a zip code for an area that I moved from 4 years ago. Even after I sign in and update it again and again, it still happens. I called Apple support, but they said the issue is in my browser. I am not so sure. Please let me know what you think

With my previous FF installation, it would remember both the width and the last selection in the sidebar after closing and re-opening FF.

I just formatted and reinstalled windows and now FF simply would not remember the last sidebar condition.

I'm using Windows 10 22H2 and FF 130 64-bit.

Hi, after updates I can't find anything by numbers from calender like I used to. For example phone number; 123-456-7890 or 123 abc street - I used to type in all phone numbers of just by street number. But, after the update I can't anymore. Is there a way to find it by the numebrs like I use to before?

I seem unable to connect to the newsgroup rec.bicycles.tech via news.eternal-september.org. I can get there with PAN but that reader is very unreliable. Newshosting also gets me to the group but they too keep shutting off when I am trying to post.

With the new iPhone iOS update to iOS 18, the tab view is expanded so I can only see two tabs at a time on my screen (see attached screenshot). Since I routinely have over 50 tabs open, this makes it very difficult to scroll through to find the one I want, or even just to peruse them.

Before the update, two open tabs were visible in each row, so I could see at least four open tabs at a time.

Is there any way to modify the view so I can see more tabs per screen again?

I am using Firefox Focus for iOS. Firefox has a file download folder, but Firefox Focus does not have a download folder. Does Firefox Focus not have a download feature?
