Hi!

When I click on an Email in the Email-list it will not open in the Mailwindow. Also it will not be marked as read. Same thing with doupleclicking the Mail. It will open the Mail-Tab but it is empty and the Mail is still marked as not yet read. New Mails are downiaded and appear in the Maillist. I´m using Thunderbird 141.0 in Windows 11.

Hello, I am trying to move to thunderbird from outlook.

I have a long list of domains/email addressess in the outlook "safe sender list" however i could not find an easy way to import this txt file into thunderbird "allow remote content in messages" exception list.

shouldnt there be like an easy "upload" button to migrate the safe sender list to Thunderbird?

I tried converting the list with ai to a csv list, but it still didnt work (possible due to a mixture of *@domain placeholders and actual email adressess, thunderbird seems to allow only actual adresses and not to whitelist a domain?)

There is no settung that I can find to stop automatic downloading of mail. If read mail is in the INBOX it disappears and is replaced by new unread mail. Where does the read mail go and how do I turn off auto downloading of mail?

Hi, Just got computer back from shop where - rather than upgrade - they did a clean install of Win11. I was under the impression from them they'd backup everything on a new "backup" drive they installed to double my capacity as part of the upgrade process.

They're version of backing up Thunderbird left me with a folder "Thunderbird_profile_backup.zip" that is 9,698,657kb in size.

I am attempting to install Thunderbird on the essentially new computer and restore all data from the previous installation.

Is this even possible anymore at this point?

I have data in that file that is important not only financially but archived family info from now deceased members... I'd really like to recover it.

How can I move these emails out of the input folder by accessing the data directly? Alternatively, is there a way to 'reset' these emails? I have archived emails from Mar to Jun 2025.

This is not the first time this glitch is occurring. Only my primary address seems to have this bug.

When I want to print an email and the preview window is opened, it shows almost 2 pages of of what appears to be routing information before the body of the email. I don't know how I managed to do this, but how do I turn it off? Please? John Lundberg

Att made me change my account password. Now Thunderbird cannot access messages. I have entered the new password in out going and incoming but there seems to be more to this than that because nothing happens. Where do I have to put in new passwords? Thanks so much. Marjorie

I opened Thunder today and there was no header for messages. I can double click on the message and it opens a second window to view the message. I want to be able to see the message in the folder. Is there a fix?

I get this message when I click on the "share" link on a web page. I can find 3 profiles, 2 are old and out of date. I have read the articles about profiles and frankly I am at a loss as to what is going on. "A newer version of Thunderbird may have made changes to your profile whaich are no longer compatible with this older version........" As far I getting and sending emails everything is working normally. I just don't understand what is causing the referenced message. Thanks for any help I may receive.

Buen dia, tengo inconvenientes con errores en la aplicación debido a que surgen en algunos mails error en una parte de la firma. Adjunto imágenes, (el mail que se encuentra en amarillo está mal/incorrecto) mientras que luego el que se encuentra de color verde es el correcto. Lo más raro y un punto a tener en cuenta es que hay algunos mails que salen en el mismo minuto y uno tiene bien la firma y la otra no, es decir, que es de forma aleatoria. Me podrian indicar los motivos y cómo arreglarlo?? Gracias

We are about to switch from one internet provider to TMobile. Will I have to do anything in order to maintain my email through Thunderbird? I am clueless. After many months, I just got Thunderbird working again and don't want to lose it!

I had a similar problem earlier this year but cannot find the thread we had going. I think this is a bit different than last time but thought I'd check that thread first. But can't find it.

Anyway, when I place a photo into my message, it does not show up and I have to re-open the message. I think that is a different problem than the last time --

Although I have been using it for years, Thunderbird stopped sending my email messages and gave an error message looking for my Password. I looked at my Account Settings and there is a Red Box with Delete. This came on suddenly. I downloaded a Thunderbird Upgrade & installed it however it didn't fix the problem.

How can I fix this without Uninstalling the program. There is too much data saved including a substantial Address book that I can't afford to lose.
