Thunderbird not filtering new emails.
My message filters do not filter new emails. runs OK on manual (run now) but i do not have the option of run on download. Thunderbird 146.0.1 on win 10.

After Thunderbird Update, one of my Subfolders shows 11 emails existing in folder but there's no actual emails showing.

I do not know why but since yesterday I don't have the Orange Box in my Thunderbird home page to create a new message. I have to go into account and click on new message ( with a pen icon ). How do I get the orange box back. I have the orange area in the other pages like addresses, calendar, and the like, but not for new messages. How could I get it back because I installed a new copy of Thunderbird but it did not work. Thank you.

My computer crashed and so restarted it, when went to open thunderbird got a couldn't load XPCom message. Followed directions to reinstall thunderbird without using the uninstaller. When I installed it, I reloaded my email to set it up. I have lost all my latest emails, only getting them from 15 years ago. and today, nothing from this year. All my folders have also gone and my contacts.
Can someone please help, how do I fix it, I have emails from this year that I need to keep.

After a couple of years just receiving emails on my phone, I decided to sort out how to send them. I see that the Thunderbird App can be installed simply by pointing phone at desk top screen QR code. I clicked onto Thunderbird Settings/Export for Mobile then clicked 'export' and got request for Username and Password, but have not got these to hand and don't know where to find them. I would like to convert to Thunderbird. I have a very extensive list of Tasks and ToDo items including many repeating tasks for clients. I would like to avoid reentering these in Thunderbird. I can get these into a spreadsheet from their current application.

I use the email address [email 2 removed]@interia.pl. The account is configured in Thunderbird on a Lenovo laptop. The laptop is protected by ESET Smart Security antivirus software. As recommended by Eset, I added ESET VPN to my protection. After enabling ESET VPN, the address doesn't configure. It requests a password. I receive messages that the server is disconnecting. Other addresses work. Disabling ESET VPN causes the address to work. This problem doesn't occur on my other Outlook email client. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. Since update to version 145.0 I cannot send messages, when sending I get this message "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <*******@shaw.ca> sender rejected AUP#POL. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again". Nothing has changed with account settings. Same problem on another machine that updated to 145.0. Any ideas what is broken?

I have a big folder of similar letters I have to print. And I was wondering if it is possible to send the letter itself and its .pdf attachment (usually 1 page) as a single print job so they could be printed on both paper sheet sides. The reason I have to print the letter body is that Thunderbird automatically adds a footer with the printing time as well as the sender's e-mail, the date of letter's receipt, etc. Please, share any information if such thing is possible to do.

I can't access my talk talk account on my desktop anymore. Talk talk say my password has been changed correctly and that if I go in via their website I can access my email - which I can. The man on the helpdesk (actual person) said this is because it is 'controlled' by Thunderbird and he thinks I should close the account via Thunderbird and open up a new one. I am loath to do this in case I lose all my old emails. I am a 69 year old techno phobe so an easy to follow reply would be much appreciated.

My Tags window & folder [View, Folders, Tags] layout stopped properly displaying all my items with the appropriate "tag" set in the past few updates to T'bird. I recently switched to version 140.4.0esr but the problem existed before that in 140.2.1 as well. Is there any way to force a "rebuild" of the Tags window so that all my tagged items show in their appropriate categories, with appropriate statuses [read/unread, etc]? Otherwise, the Tag feature is no longer useful.

I have had Thunderbird forever. I have 2 point security & I have lost control of my Thunderbird as far as installing it on another computer. It works just fine on my Desktop which will have to be updated to Windows 11 soon. I have tried installing it on a few laptops to no avail. I followed David (of the little dog!) advice. He gave me instructions on how to save my Profile, which I did. It was big, took a while but it informed me there are some items that were not able to be copied, so I don't know it that will work when I do make my move. I had another thought. If I go into settings and passwords and delete the second security measure until I make the move, leaving me with a simple password, will that hopefully allow me to install Thunderbird on my laptop?
on Settings, Privacy & Security....where is the unblock info? I am being told by a sender that I have blocked them....I don't even know how to do that!!
