Hi, My Thunderbird email has stopped downloading emails from my server. I click to download emails, get a message saying "downloading 1 of 25" but no progression from here onwards. No messages are downloaded. I have made no changes to the settings and it has been working well for many years. wifi is connected.

Dell tech reinstalled Windows 11, but missing info on my local folders now on 2nd drive. I have iDrive backup of both the drives, need help to find what I need. I'm Tbird supporter monthly and at other times. Sure can use some help as need some financial records that were in local folder files.

Appreciate help to find and restore my Local Folders which held the needed data.

New computer Ubuntu 24.04 Mate, older Ubuntu 22.04 Cinnamon. Following support transfer directions (open Thunderbird on new PC, close it, paste a copy of older .thunderbird from USB stick to .thunderbird on new, over write), when I open Thunderbird no accounts are shown only the create account screen. I find no update path for older Thunderbird. New PC came with 128 esr but I found a tarball of 115 .18.0, installed it and followed transfer directions with the same results. Seems like the esr version uses a profile ending with esr and ignores my older one. What are my options for transferring 20 years of significant messages? The hard way might be to identify the account specific files in my older profile and copy them into the new esr profile...

Hi there! In one of my two e-mail accounts I manage with Thunderbird via IMAP, the archive options (where I would like to configure that the archived messages go into folders organized by year) are greyed out. See attached screenshot. (In the other account, these options are accessible.) The account in question is a google-based work account; is this related to the inaccessibility of the archiving options? I am new to Thunderbird and needed help to import my contacts from Outlook. It wasn't easy; I had to reorganize the CSV file to match Thunderbird's format - what a pain. Then I needed to recreate all of my group addresses using Thunderbird's tools. I used some of these newly created group addresses a few weeks ago. Now all of the group addresses exist, but they have no members. What could have happened? And, what should I do to recover their contacts?

I never want this behavior, it is never useful. It's even screwed up my events by changing the end date to the next day. Why is there no option to disable this?

Recently I have started to have emails fail to deliver to a certain domain and the message that comes back is

550 DKIM Sender Invalid - envelope rejected.

I am using Thunderbird v128.8.1 esr (64-bit). Extensions installed are: 1. Attachment Saver (Deimios, v.0.2.2) 2. FileLink provider for Send (Teal Dulcet v2.1.1) 3. Remove Duplicate Messages (Eyal Rozenberg v0.6.1)

I have been in communication with this client for several years and not had this problem before. When I send email to the same recipients using WebMail there is no problem, it is only when I send from Thunderbird.

I am not using any encryption type of setup.

Has anyone come across this before? Does anyone know of a solution?

I have Thunderbird 140 set up in cards view (threaded). Under Row count I can choose 2 rows or 3 rows. But all that choosing 3 rows does is place an empty row below the subject line. I was expecting it to show me the first line of the email content. Can that be configured? Or what else is the third row supposed to display? (other than the star for favorites, which always appears in the lower right corner but hardly needs an entire row by itself)

the last time I received an email update on my desktop PC (Win 7 Pro) was 4:08PM (yes, PM) for one account and 4:44AM (yes, AM) for the other account. On my phone, the 4:08PM is the same but the other email account recd an update at 3:17PM.

Hello! My husband making a new company online and we just set up the needed emails with domain connected. Thunderbird was installed on two different laptop and all the 5 email got configured on both laptop. We run several test on all to see if it is going all fine sending and receiving on both laptop In one of the laptop when sending emails from thunderbird to gmail with 4 email out of 5 has a problem and at gmail site ends in spam or in one instant does not even deliver. We run a test program but that showed all fine, however emails keep showing up in spam at gmail site. Where is the problem? At the host? or at Thunderbird or at Gmail? What should be done to fix it? Incoming e-mails do not always appear in the inbox when they arrive. They always do appear but there are often delays, sometimes of a few minutes, sometimes of several hours, and sometimes of many hours. At the end of the delay they always do appear, with the time at which they were sent indicated, even though that time is earlier than the time at which they appear in my inbox. I have sometimes sent e-mails to myself, as tests -- and these are also often delayed for five or ten minutes. I am not aware of any actions that I take that precipitates either the start or the end of the delay.
