Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

When I try to forward an email with an attachment on mobile I get an error that's not fully visible saying "Some attachments could not be forwarded because they have not be...' (I tried rotating the screen to see if it expands but it's the same unfortunately). It works fine on the desktop app, and it also works fine if I manually download the attachment and then draft an email and attach it.

Does anyone know if this is common, or how I can bypass it? I tried but couldn't find any info on this behavior.

I recently set up Thunderbird on my android phone and managed to finally connect my iCloud email to both mobile and desktop (didn't realize i needed two different passwords for each).

After a few weeks of it working fine, I'm now being notified of some authentication issue for mobile. Does this mean I have to re-do the app specific password again? Will this be a consistent thing I would have to do for my iCloud? Don't need to do this for any other email I have set up through the mobile app.

Anyone know of a solution for this? I'd hate to continuously need to revoke and create a new password for just this email address.

I'm coming back to Thunderbird, from bluemail, and was wondering if you could add a feature they had. Essentially, you could tap on the profile icon in the inbox, and you'd get a screen with all the messages you had from that address. From there, you had a button at the bottom of the screen that would open a menu with options to: message, mark all read, and delete all. Theres a confirmation dialog after the delete all option is tapped.

Is this something you could add?

I'm using Thunderbird android app for the first time, and configured my mailbox.org account. Incoming mail appears just fine. I've confirmed my outgoing server settings and I get the message 'Outgoing server settings verified'. But when I try to send a message it just stays in my Outbox. I've tried tapping 'Send message' on the Outbox screen but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Erst mit meiner kleinen Änderung ging das Format verloren, lässt sich nicht ändern. Egal in welcher Tastatur (gboard od. Samsung), wenn ich versuche einzufügen bzw zu ändern, es wird mir der Zeilenumbruch nur im Schreibmodus im Signaturtextfeld bei der Tastaur nur bei Änderungsversuch des Textes dort nicht mehr zur Verfügung gestellt.

Hi, I’ve been using Thunderbird Desktop for years with S/MIME encryption. Since S/MIME is not currently supported in Thunderbird Mobile, I can’t use it on my mobile device.

Is S/MIME support planned for a future release?

Summary: I am trying to set up my gmail account on my new phone, but after (what appears to be) successfully logging in, the Thunderbird for Android application does not pull me back out of gmail. Instead, I remain logged in to my gmail account as if in a browser. As you can see from my photos, it takes me to the point where I am truly into my gmail inbox, but I am checking it as if in some sort of outdated browser and not as if in Thunderbird. I am stuck; sitting in my gmail account, logged in; able to view email, check and change account settings, even get onto other parts of my google account. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to get back out of my gmail account that returns me to the Thunderbird for Android accounts setup process with a successfully login to gmail. I end up having to hit exit or to close the app, which causes the account setup to fail.

Expected Behavior: Open the Thunderbird for Android App. Setup new account (gmail which produces an automatically detected OAuth 2.0 method). Give login credentials, gain access to gmail, and then be auto-redirected back to accounts setup process in Thunderbird for Android with full IMAP + SMTP access to my gmail.

Problematic Behavior: Same as above, except I am stuck as if in browser mode. When I exit and thus am returned back to the accounts setup page, I receive a failed notice (see photo). Immediately afterward, I tried to setup an account for the same gmail address on an old android phone and successfully logged in as expected. How do I get back to the main accounts dialog with a success?

Notes: The new phone is a linux-based phone (Furilabs FLX1s) on which I have found Android apps to function without hiccup. It seems like In fact, the Thunderbird for Android app itself seems to function fine. It doesn't crash. It allows me to navigate through the app menus flawlessly.

Why if you save 2 drafts does the second save wipe out the first? Why is the spell checker used in Write so patchy and disjointed? Why is the select text- cut copy paste- so useless in amending mail?

Why does it somtimes eat emails - they just disapperar.? Why is the share function so limited - docx-

Until recently when using Thunderbird on my pc, android and Kindle fire HD when I start typing in a name in the TO field I see a list of possible email addresses. Still works on win11 pc, android phone but no longer on my kindle fire hd her 21.1

Something is wrong with Thunderbird. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. Unable to get inbox emails. Infact no emails are coming. You can see the processing circle working but never completes action. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or the app is the problem. Using Samsung tablet. All apps updated. Please help.

I have Thunderbird on Android 15. I can not move an accidentaly deleted message back to the inbox.

In Thunderbird > settings > general settings > visualization > visible message management (approximate translation from other language) I have selected "move".

I suspect that this is an error.

When reading an email, the "Mark as unread" button at the top does not work. Instead, it closes the email as expected but does not change the status from "read" to "unread". This used to be functional before the most recent update.

Android app is Missing Spam Folder. A Yahoo filter on the server moves important emails to the spam folder. The spam folder does not sync with my other folders. Yahoo places these messages inside the Thunderbird app but they cannot not be read, I cannot find the folder, I cannot sync the folder, and the app does not give any other option on the setting panel. On my phone I have to have both the Firebird and the Yahoo App to see all folders. How can I fix it_
