Hi All,

I have a Galaxy S22 running android 16 and have been getting the standard email notifications for each of my inboxes.

Recently I get a duplicate notification appear for a new email almost immediately after I clear the notifications screen or swipe it away.

I was hoping an update would solve the issue but I updated it once since it began but the issue remains. I have done all the basic troubleshooting steps like cleared cache, stopped app, restarted device etc. but nothing seems to work.

I havent uninstalled the app yet because I didnt want to risk losing anything important, but if thats the next logical step aside from a configuration change I will do it as these notifications are becoming rather annoying. Help please!

I recently installed the Thunderbird app on my Samsung S25. I use two email providers - hotmail.com and comcast.net. Thunderbird gives incoming email notifications for my hotmail address but not for comcast.

One of the posts I saw said to make sure the app runs in the background and there are no battery restrictions. Mine was already running in the background and I removed battery restrictions. That did not solve the problem.

I want to move email messages around in local folders, but "move" doesn't show even when enabled in settings when the account is POP3

However when using IMAP it is worse as the App keeps messing not only with the server messages an folders, but also with other devices.

For a few days everything worked perfectly. Now suddenly I cannot fetch any emails on neither Thunderbird for android nor Thunderbird on Ubuntu. Both latest versions at time of writing. Sending mails works. Another email client works, another email address from the same server (but different domain) does work.

Any ideas what I can do?

I am experiencing a problem with Thunderbird for Android.

My setup:

• Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B)
• Android version: Android 16
• Computer: Windows PC
• Desktop email client: Thunderbird for Windows (latest version)
• Email accounts are configured and working correctly on the Windows version of Thunderbird.

The issue concerns the Android application. Despite using the same email address, login credentials and server settings that work correctly on my Windows computer, I am unable to properly configure or synchronize the account in Thunderbird for Android.

The desktop version connects without any issues, while the Android application either rejects the settings or fails to synchronize properly.

I have already:

• verified the email address and password,
• confirmed that the same credentials work on the Windows version,
• checked the incoming and outgoing server settings,
• reinstalled the Android application,
• ensured that the device has an active internet connection.

Could you please advise what additional steps I should take to resolve the issue?

With three accounts, if the first account is set to folder poll frequency = 15min and the others are set to never, the first account does not poll its folders after 15 minutes. The bug workaround is to set all three accounts to 15 minutes. However not knowing this caused me to miss important emails.

When manually refreshing an account, new messages do not appear automatically; you must scroll down to see them.

This is a regression from a previous fix in a version of K9 from a few years ago I believe.

I am preparing to migrate from K9 mail to Thunderbird for Android. Before I go through the process and learning curve for the software, one key feature will be the determining factor.

Does Thunderbird for Android have inbox rules, possibly also called Filters like in Thunderbird Desktop, that will automatically find keywords or sender info in the header of a received message and deposit that message into a designated alternate folder?

That would determine whether I switch to Thunderbird for Android.

Hello, I’m having the following problem: When I try to add my Outlook email address to Thunderbird for Android, I get the error "Authentication unsuccessful: SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Mailbox." This points to a help article that only describes a procedure using PowerShell—requiring domain admin privileges, which I don't have. Setting up the IMAP incoming server seems to work fine, but the outgoing server refuses to connect. This is just a personal account. The configuration is: Server: smtp.office365.com; Security: StartTLS; Port: 587; Authentication: OAuth 2.0; Username: mymail@outlook.de; Client certificate: None. I also tried the configuration using the server smtp-mail.outlook.com (with otherwise identical settings), but I get the same error. Does anyone have any advice?

Thunderbird has stopped receiving emails. I followed the instructions I found. restet cache, I have enough memory, hosting service account space is adequate, checked login credentials (I have been sending and receiving for months with no problems) restarted phone. I am getting no error messages.

This happened with my last email program and I installed Thunderbird after no one could find a problem.

I was working with my own simple pop3 test server and noticed thunderbird also K-9 and even Gmail seem to send some unstandard commands to the server causing an error. FairEmail however works fine. The server is a simple pop3 for local testing can anybody explain why your email clients are not compatible with pop3 standards perhapse how you deviated from the standard?

I like the platform but am frustrated that my inbound emails and inboxes are only retrieved every 15 minutes for it to check and synch? Can it be set up for immediate reveal of new messages and account synching?

I tried to connect to my personal outlook email account on a fresh installation of thunderbird mobile. The setup wizard gave the correct configuration as described in microsoft's official documentation. But the following error occured: Authentication unsuccessful, SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Mailbox.

IMAP is enabled in microsoft's mail account settings on outlook.com.

Hi, I seem to be missing the send button in the Android app. (I do know that it's supposed to be the regtangular shape). When I compose a simple e-mail it is there. But when I want to reply a longer e-mail, it is missing sometimes. For now, I have found no pattern for when it is there and when it's not. I can't click on Alt or anything, since it's on a smart phone.

Hello, when I try to answer a message or forward an e-mail, both the attachment, send and more options buttons are missing. They are there when I compose a new e-mail. What can I do?

How to set up mail verification in the app. I need it every minute. It costs at least 15 minutes. Ver. 18.0 In the web version, you can select starting from 1 minute.
