edit: i read trough some and well after the new clean install i restarted my pc again and it worked.. (it only worked after restarting my pc) but i also remembered that the day before, i deleted all saved logins on my mobile phone and disabled login manage sync.. could this issue related to some sync issues between mobile phone and desktop? is there a way to inspect it further so this bug doesn't happen in the future?

i'll still post it since i don't saw much infos at other posts.

funny thing.. i also can't open settings when i open it directly.. BUUUUT i somehow can open it when i go to manage extension and than click on settings?!?!

so, i cannot access about:crashes in the browser itself.. i would like to share the file but idk where to upload it yet?

also, i did a fresh intsall of Firefox, i whiped every directory.. at least that's what i think, 1st time it said refresh after the install.. so it wasn't a clean re-install?, so i tried a 2nd time re-install it didn't say anything.

it might be a app that interferes with firefox? read it somewhere.. if it is.. idk which, yetserday firefox worked, i didn't install anything new..

My "PRIMARY" email address is WRONG -- cannot log in, cannot access Firefox Account, cannot do all the things offered by Mozilla. HOW DOES A LONG TIME CUSTOMER -- any customer -- GET HELP TO FIX THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT???????

CANNOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE FIREFOX AND I DO NOT AGREE ON THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT. NO WAY TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT. FEELING LIKE TOTALLY REMOVING ALL FIREFOX INFO, PROGRAMS, ETC AND DUMPING THIS WHOLE MOZILLA MESS.

I really do not understand how Firefox has survived so long with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Maybe a gun to the computer would be the best way to eliminate the Firefox problems -- seems that way. Then on my new computer I can STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING FIREFOX OR MOZILLA. STUPID WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS -- Oh, maybe that's my problem. I am NOT A CUSTOMER cause I don't pay you.

This seems to have happened over several updates, so I can't pin point a particular update, and the problem has gotten worse (or at least affected more things) as time has gone on. I thought it might be related to uploading tabs when memory utilization has gotten high, but I have this problem on my system with 96GB of RAM, and I've happens even when I'm using under 48GB of memory and I've tried disabling tab unloading with no change.

The problem I've been seeing first started with Skype web. I'd walk away from my PC, and when I get back to it (monitor is asleep, but PC still running) after I wake up the monitor Skype would start playing messages it appeared to have cached while I was away. It would load up this messages one at a time, complete with notifications, one every couple of seconds. If I'd been away for a while and had gotten several messages it could take several minutes to catch up with where Skype is "current" and usually take so long I end up just reloading the page and so I get the current state without waiting for FF to play through all the messages.

I then started noticing the problem with OctoPrint, similar thing I'll have it up monitoring a print and I'll walk away from the PC and then come back, and same thing, it has to "play" through all the updates that happened while I was way from the PC, again sometimes taking several minutes for it to catch up with the current state for OctoPrint (this is usually visible by watching the temperature graph try and draw updates to catch up with where the printer actually is. During this time OctoPrint is completely unresponsive, so I'm unable to do things like cancel and print or change tabs to look at say the web cam. Again I'm usually forced to just reload the page to get the current state of OctoPrint instead of waiting minutes for it to catch up.

Then recently it's started doing the same thing with Pushbullet, instead of sending notifications as they come if I'm away from the PC, it just caches them when I wake the screen back up. And again, it sits there and plays them, one at a time, every couple seconds, every, last, message, that, came, while, I, was, away, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. I'm no longer getting multiple notifications at a time, they come through individually and it drives me insane (at sometimes delays notifications as even when I'm using the PC it no longer delivers notifications if I'm not actively using FF).

I assume it's some change to help make FF less memory intensive (which is why I first started looking at Tab Unloading) but I haven't had any luck finding out what's causing the issue, so trying to Google for a solution hasn't yielded any results (cause I'm not really sure what I'm looking for).

It's making using FireFox for "live" pages like message apps and OctoPrint, and notification syncing via Pushbullet unsustainable.

For what ever reason, and despite what I read and try to fix, and after several DAYS of trying too resolve this, and working on this instead of what I am suppose to be doing to earn a living, I continue to get this horrible aggravating, seemingly, un-fixable problem: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. I am at my wits end about this. I NEED to be working and doing other things, not spending my 4th of July weekend trying to fix a Mozilla firefox issue.

PLEASE HELP QUICKLY

As with above title, whenever a video is next in queue and starts, the tab crashes. Also, randomly, if a website has an embedded video player, it will crash usually.

I just moved into a new apartment and rebooted my Windows PC after about 6 weeks of non-use. Previously, my computer, and Firefox, worked very well.

When I first booted up the computer, there were prompts for Windows 11 updates -- KB5027119 and KB5027231. I went ahead downloaded and installed the updates, restarting my PC. I never tried opening a web browser prior to this. Now, everything on the computer works well except for browsers (other than Microsoft Edge). I've tried opening both Firefox and Brave Browser, but neither open. There are never any error messages, loading screens, etc. The programs are also not found in task manager.

When I noticed that the web browsers wouldn't open, I restarted the computer with no success. I then uninstalled the updates, restarted the computer again, with no success. I then uninstalled the Firefox and Brave, reinstalled Firefox, and still no success in running Firefox. Microsoft Edge still opens.

I have Malwarebytes Premium, which I ran, and there is no source of malware found on the computer.

Are there any other steps I can try to solve this problem? I've looked at related articles on Mozilla Support but could not find many other options.

since the last two updates Firefox started tab-crashing everytime I enter search terms on Google and then I click on "Images" Previous versions of Firefox had no problems at all.

I'm running Linux-Ubuntu 16.04

For example:

1. I "insert nut M6" in the google search-bar 2. Google shows me mixed image and text contents 3. I click on the "Images" button of Google 4. A collection of images appears for a fraction of a second, but immediately after.... 5. ....boom! Tab crashed message (see attached screenshot)

I am running FF 114.0.2 on MacOs 13.4. Almost daily but more so after a weekend when unlocking my mac my firefox says it can't connect. No sites load, nothing works until i kill it from the Activity Monitor and restart it and it works fine. Chrome running next to it has no issue resuming its connection.

I have tried everything i can think off and nothing makes it work as it should after the mac sleeps.

Activity - I decided to add the AdBlocker Ultimate Extension to my FireFox. addons://detail/adblockultimate@adblockultimate.net During or after download it started to dispay a web page. FFox and my entire machine became VERY slow, and the message "TLS handshake with Google.apps" was displayed bottom let of the FFox Window. AFTER MUCH time, a "donate" page was displaed with various buttons and payment options. May be for a moment my Linux machine speeded up before going VERY SLOW,,, eventually a window poped up saying@ script "Chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.js.5262" - do you wish to stop or continue,,, Despite clicking "Stop" lots of time, - which was difficult as mouse arrow movement was slow due to machine being slow / dead. EVENTUALLY - despite waiting long time for the Java Script to complete, I had to power off the m-c & restart. ... It is VERY FAR from good that Through any web page - that FFox can crash my machine... IMHO - TOTALLY DANGEROUS, and far from good. I have found this a very frequent problem, with FireFox crashing my Linux M-C Some web sites are better than others. Or rather some website will very quickly kill my Linux MC.

I frequently watch news videos. When the connection is slow, at least one CPU core to 100%. I am extremely confused why. Causing a core to go to 100% isn't going to speed up the download. That's a network issue.

Hi. I'm trying to send a file for upload but I once I select the file, Firefox simply crashes. I've tried running in "Troubleshooting mode". Go to my website I want to send a file on, click "browse", choose file and... crash to desktop.

Checking the about:crashes page and uploading the crash (that works...) gives the error: STATUS_CALLBACK_RETURNED_LANG

I had issues with Firefox and Mapped Networked Drives in Windows before. So, I thought... save my stuff (no issues...) then reboot windows. Rebooting seems to fix a lot of stuff after all. But not here.

I reconnected my 3 drives (to the same NAS), opened Firefox, which takes a while to show a single page, go to sendspace.com and choose a file to upload from my NAS. Crash.

I disconnect my drives (all 3 of them), try send a file and... succesfully queued for upload.

What the heck? 99.5% of my files are on my NAS!

Looks Firefox after recent update can not effectively open youtube.com as well as other webpages that contain video and or sound. Sound can not be heard. on youtube cannot completely finish opening the webpage. In complete transition. Hence the web page freeze or shall I say stuck.

Firefox was working perfectly fine the day before this now this morning when trying to open it I got the error vcruntime140_1.dll not found displayed I uninstalled/reinstalled the app has asked but even this upon re installing got the same second the same message... which make zero sense because a clean install is supposed to add this missing file. then when I tired to open Firefox it stays blank I see the search bar I can type in it but when I try to search something it doesn't work/load please help this is getting very annoying I uninstalled it multiple times/checked community and nothing helped

Im having an issue with firefox where the tabs keep crashing i cant go a day without the tabs crashing 50-60 times or even the browser itself crashing, ive tried relaunching without addons, with troubleshoot mode on, firefox on a different drive but, it is still crashing, i looked at the error logs and if im reading it right (im not at all knowledgeable in how to debug software) it is always crashing at a point where the module is none and the signature is an address value, I put screen shots of the error reports showing the numerous crashes, before I think its a hardware issue like a bad stick of ram (which i dont think cause i ran memtest 86 test overnight with no errors), a faulty motherboard, or god forbid a faulty cpu and start firing the parts cannon at the issue i want to rule out any software angles for the problem.
