like in safari, i had pinned the websites (as tabs) i visit regularly.

when i restarted the browser, all tabs were gone.

i have been using this feature in safari since a decade and no pinned tabs have been lost.

please guide.

All of a sudden Firefox stopped reloading my previous tabs when I start Firefox (whether or not it is set to open automatically on start up). I have ensured the relevant boxes are ticked and I have even reinstalled Firefox altogether - and all to no avail.

I am using Firefox on a W11 64 bit desktop. I have used it for years and have never had this problem before.

I have vertical tabs enabled and the "expand when hovering mouse" option is activated (see screenshot). However, the latter functionality tends to glitch at some point in basically every session. I can't tell if a specific action triggers it, so far it seems pretty random. The glitch is that either the tabs are expanded and won't collapse, or the opposite: they're collapsed and refuse to expand when I point at them. Is this feature maybe still experimental? or something? I'm running Firefox 149.0b5 DEveloper Edition on Garuda Linux (Arch based).

I open firefox and open two or three tabs. Than I check task manager, because my computer is running warm and I find firefox has opened 12 to 20 tabs. I have tried every suggested fix for this problem with no resolution. Can you provide a fix for this problem. I have the same problem on my Lenovo laptop as well.

I tried unchecking and rechecking all start settings. When I close Firefox, it asks if I want to close all tabs - the only option is to cancel, leaving Firefox open, or Yes, which would close all my tabs and not reopen the tabs on startup.

My recent history is also missing.

I upgraded to a new Surface Pro 12 and now when I launch Firefox it won't open my previous tabs and windows even though I've checked the box "open the previous windows and tabs" under the General/Start Setup. On my previous Surface Pro 3, I never had an issue with this. Am I doing something wrong..? Also when I click on the time in the lower right task bar, it would open the time plus a calendar. Now with the Pro 12 I get the time and a notifications window and no calendar. Is there a way to change Firefox to the way it was on my old Pro 3..?

I have the same issue as this person https://support.mozilla.org/kn/questions/1373153. I HAVE the "Open previous windows and tabs" option on, i also DON'T have the "Clear history and cookies when closing the window" nor "Clear history when Firefox closes" nor "Always use private browsing mode" on so the solution doesn't work for me. Firefox won't open previous tabs when i close the window. However upon restarting my PC i have noticed that when i start up Firefox, my previous tabs are opened. So it seems the action of closing the window is doing something to prevent Firefox from opening the previous tabs again.

Ich werde Firefox nicht mehr benutzen, alle Fenster verschwinden wenn man Firefox wieder startet obwohl dies in den Einstellungen "Vorherige Fenster und Tabs öffnen" steht! Scheinbar ist keiner fähig dies zu beheben und keiner hilft! Sehr fragwürdig!! So könnt ihr euren Firefox beerdigen!!!

In the last update the plus sign to open a new tab was moved from the left side to the far right of the screen. I find this very inconvenient. Just wondering if this bothers anyone else. Is there a way to roll back to the previous version of Firefox?

I just reinstalled Firefox after resetting my computer so I was clicking around and making some personal adjustments. Now, everytime I add a tab it also open a window for that tab. Which is very annoying because I often use a lot of tabs at the same time for my research. I don't know why this has happened, maybe I accidentally clicked on something in the setting? I’m not very good with computer so I really need help with this. Thanks!
