Even when I open a new tab in Firefox, the focus remains on the address bar. I'd like to know how to fix this. When I open a new tab, the address bar gets the focus, which I find inconvenient. Is there a way or setting to prevent the address bar from getting the focus and instead focus on the search box in the middle? I've searched online and tried the "settings in about:config" suggested in the search results, but it didn't solve the problem. Is it impossible? Firefox 153.0.3 64it

I made a change somewhere that caused a total loss of history/open tabs even in my tab manager extension. I can't remember exactly what it was I changed but nothing I have searched here has been helpful in recovering from this. I did not want to bring my profile from home as I am using Firefox here in a work environment. Can someone point me to or explain a step by step method to be able to do this? Nothing I found in searching here has been positive.

I have a new MacBook Pro M5, with MacOS Tahoe Version 26.5.2, and currently running Firefox 153.0. Over the past few days, I've noticed that the Fn-Delete (forward delete) is not working in the file name field when downloading a file from the internet. Fn-Delete is working everywhere else.

I'm not certain if this started when I set up the new computer, updated the MacOS or updated Firefox. I'm pretty sure all have occurred within the past couple weeks.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox on macOS Tahoe. Over the past 2–3 days, Firefox has started behaving unexpectedly.

Issues:

   Firefox automatically creates additional Dock icons while I'm only using a single Firefox window. Even if I remove the extra icon, it reappears after some time.

   When I open a different Firefox profile, it launches under a new Dock icon instead of using the existing Firefox icon. As a result, I end up with three separate Firefox Dock icons simultaneously.

   Firefox also fails to play pronunciation audio on some dictionary websites (e.g., JapanDict). Clicking the speaker icon produces only a brief click with no spoken audio. The same pronunciation works correctly in Safari, suggesting a Firefox-specific issue.

Expected behavior:

   Firefox should use a single Dock icon (unless intentionally running separate app instances).

   Different profiles should not create unexpected duplicate Dock icons.

   Pronunciation audio should play normally, as it does in Safari.

Environment:

   macOS Tahoe (latest version)

   Firefox (latest version)

Can you help me repair my FireFox Browser? The shortcut did not launch the browser. It stated that the file had moved or was no longer working. It still appears in my App folder but the only option is to uninstall it. I have a great deal of short cut tabs and all my stored passwords. How do I repair this? If I re-download Firefox will it access all of my stored information and preferences?

Hi, since the last update for Mozilla on my laptop (version 153.0.1 (64 bit), all the website shortcuts in the Firefox homepage that I had pinned have disappeared. I also can't add new shortcuts. I checked in about:config and in browser.newtabpage.pinned the shortcuts are all there. The display settings for shortcuts are active.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

VPN has been working like a charm...today I go in circles...it asks me to sign in...ok...screen says go to open screen and open VPN...I click there but VPN takes me back to the original screen coming up first time today.

While Using Youtube : from the starting page (that comes up with multiple Clips displayed), I attempt to do the following: By selecting Open Link in a new tab, or Open Link in Split View (So I can Watch a specific clip without loosing the original displayed clips on the starting "face Page") ...the selected Opened Link Immediately Becomes Greyed Out And Refuses to Play the the Clip. To watch that clip I must close the video clip that I selected to then return to the original opening page to then Move the pointer back over the smaller box-clip that I want to watch, leaving the pointer on that clip is the only way to watch the clip. This Just Started Happening Recently...... This is Happening Every time..... Apparently, if you want to watch ANY of the displayed clips from a Start "Face Page" you can Only watch by hovering the mouse pointer on that specific Small Box Clip on the starting page...I can't bookmark that page without selecting the page to another Face Page, which then looses the smaller multiple clips on the original face page that I started on.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Is it really a browser issue or an extension one? Is it a config issue or a bug? I'm juggling 2FA settings on slack for a per workspace basis, plus to Bitwarden confusing different workspaces I'm also having issues with saving updated passwords into Bitwardens vault I'm also logged into my Mozilla account I'd like help troubleshooting this, thanks

Hello. I'm iranian and i need to use vpn to search some sites like pinterest, youtube, freepik&... . for that i add veepn extention on my firefox. It connects but doesn't run on the site also till using the extention, browsing gets some problems and my browser doesn't work properly. Even recently it works slower. I don't know what is the problem to fix it; so I tried to ask your team. Thanks for your attention.

I have reviewed support pages for setting help on setting HomePage. My issue is that when I open FireFox it defaults to a private page versus the HomePage showing suggested web pages etc. My settings are set to Firefox Default Home page.

I am using Firefox on a LLinux Mint 22.3 - MATE 64-bit operating system.

Recently, I went to www.homedepot.com. The page did not fully load. It just kept trying to load the page. I waited for a few minutes and tried to do a search for an item I wanted. I got a message that indicated: "OOPs! some went wrong. Try refreshing the page."

I tried refreshing the page. I got the same situation. The page would only partially load and each time I did a search, I got the same "Opps!" message.

So, I went into setup and deleted my cache. This did not help. I also uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it. That still did not help.

I started up Google Chrome. I went to the site and it worked just fine. So there is something wrong with Firefox.

Hi, your last update ( 153.0.3) broke my ability to stay signed into or go back to known web sites I have put in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data”. I do clear all the Cookies and Data when I close the browser but now it looks like Cookies and Data is deleted in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data” also. I would love to do a redo on this update and reload the old version. The browser also is showing my PC is Windows 10 and it has been on Windows 11 for 3 years now.
