I don't know how this happened, But I have two different for Firefox settings under "General heading"- says "default search" start-page and heading "Search" - says Firefox is search. I did not think that could be? how do I resolve this issue? I would like to make Start-page my default search engine in both. It has been very confusing.

In Firefox, the animation exhibits performance issues like stuttering, particularly in elements that rely on animateTransform and animate for movement or opacity transitions. This issue is not present in Chrome, where the animations run smoothly without any noticeable lag.
Expected Behavior: The animation should render smoothly on both Chrome and Firefox without any stuttering or lag, providing a seamless experience for users.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open the provided SVG code in Firefox.
Observe the animation, particularly the elements with animate and animateTransform attributes.
Notice the stuttering or lag compared to the smooth rendering in Chrome.

This issue has been resolved.
Almost as soon as I posted, I discovered the problem was my mistake. My apologies.
Please could the thread be deleted?

Firefox has made its niche in the browser lands by being a usable user-friendly non-Chromium Privacy-First Browser. adding AI to it does nothing to improve or advance this image users have of it, and rather risks actively dicouraging new users from migrating to it, and further could result in a large group of your existing userbase leaving to find a less; unfortunately the word used for this process is enshittification; shittified browser. LLMs and other Generative AI features are tools that a vanishingly small segment of your userbase want in their browser, and certainly an addition that will drive many users away from it if it continues to be added to a large-enough extent to declare firefox as an "AI Browser". Why not just offer a different browser entirely under the mozzila umbrella that is an AI-Forward Browser, and leave Firefox to us crotchety old men yelling at clouds that would rather not interact with the flagrant waste of resources that is generative AI.

First noticed when listening to music on YouTube while playing a game: After a few songs, video would stop, shortly followed by audio (Every few minutes it might play less than a second of audio). Somewhere along the line any interaction with YT itself or even the tab stop working. All other tabs work fine.
Firefox doesn't ever crash, and I can't see anything weird when using a process viewer (I'm not too familiar with Linux diagnostic tools).
So far I've tried:
I've tested with Chrome, which had no issues.
I don't recall messing with anything at the time (I did change some settings in firefox, but I think that was a few days before the issue started).

LLMs and other "ai" aren't traceable, and their outputs aren't truly repeatable: their information comes from loose associative heuristics that don't follow any kind of human logic, and they are inherently prone to erroneous data. Even if there was an ai that was right 99% of the time (which is currently impossible, with all existing models being at MOST 50% accurate), I wouldn't want to use it if it couldn't show me exactly where its information came from, without errors and without hallucinations, every time.
There's enough misinformation on the internet as it is. I don't want my browser, the vehicle I use to navigate information, adding more.
In addition, I don't really want my bank account information stolen when I read a Reddit post, thanks.

After a recent Firefox update, I noticed an issue when trying to rearrange Containers. When I create a new Container, it is added to the bottom of the list (which is expected). However, when I try to rearrange it in Settings → Manage Containers and move it into the middle of the list, the cursor behaves as usual and turns into a plus sign, but instead of rearranging the container, Firefox opens that container in the current tab and displays only a blank white page. The container is not moved in the list at all. This behavior did not occur before the update. All I want to do is rearrange my containers in the list, but this currently seems impossible due to this behavior.

I am an IT proofessional in a large city. As such, I make sure people have Firefox installed and use it. I tell everyone that it is the best browser with the highest security and it's not beholden to corporate BS.
I want to let you know that if you shoehorn AI into Firefox, I will uninstall it from every computer in the city. Artificial Intelligence as it is now is a security risk, a HUGE waste of energy, and also wrong somewhere around 50% of the time. I already have to disable and uninstall microsoft AI crap because it eats resources like fire burning through a forest. Why is this what you want Firefox to become?
You are shooting yourselves in the foot with this. I don't care how much money you've invested on its development, drop it now. You're already the browser with the absolute smallest market share in the industry. Why would you ensure that NO ONE uses the one thing you actually do? Or do you think going AI-first will somehow push you ahead in the game?
Read the room, man. No end user wants AI. The only reason it's used at all is because it is in EVERYTHING. No one can get away from it. People use it by accident and corporate bigwigs call that a win. And it really is crammed into everything, too. At least once a week I have to find some new little AI toy to disable so someone's computer doesn't tell them to jump off a bridge or something.
I am pleading with you to stop.
You really don't need to answer this thread. There's just no way to privately send a message to Firefox for someone to read. I hope you pass this along.

I've been using Firefox for years because more popular browsers like Chrome and Edge have anti-features I dislike. In recent years, however, it feels like Mozilla has been more eager to follow trends set up by it's larger competitors even when those trends seem destructive to the principles that used to be at the core of this project. AI is the final straw for me. I don't understand why I would even use Firefox over Chrome if both are full of AI anyways. Even if AI wasn't a deal-breaker for me, I'm worried Firefox will make similar decisions later. I want out.
Is there any good and maintained alternatives to Firefox? Something like how Firefox was just a handful of years ago? Maybe a fork of an old version?
My bookmarks are now staying highlighted in blue after I click on them. How do I stop that?

The continued implementation of AI "features" in Mozilla Firefox has made it harder and harder to do what I want! It bloats the browser and makes it harder to find the actual results I'm looking for, it violates people's privacy and fabricates potentially dangerous misinformation. Further implementation of AI will lead me- and many others- to seek alternative browsers. When will you stop spending money on a thing your users don't want?

Firefox is already a product that works and is probably the best alternative to any of the other major browsers out there. It's a product that I've been happy to use for many, many years. So why is it being ruined by this needless push to add in "AI"? I don't want it. I don't want any part of it to touch my experience using this browser. I want either an easy way to completely turn it off so it can't suck up my data and expose my private information, or not have it be included at all. I will actively be looking for alternative browsers if these plans continue.
