Thunderbird was working under MacOS Ventura, and I do remember setting up 2 Step Verification to make that happen. Several other websites were later added, apparently using 2 Factor Authentication, instead. I followed the instructions to upgrade MacOS Ventura to MacOS Sonoma. Everything except Thunderbird continued to work correctly. I tried to use the "old" app specific password to get Thunderbird to work again, but that failed. Then I tried to find the MacOS tool under Sonoma to allow me to regenerate the app-specific password for Thunderbird, but it's no longer available (replaced by 2fa, I assume).

1. How do I restore 2sv support for Thunderbird under Sonoma? 2. Will it cause the newly installed 2fa apps to fail?

I have "lots" of stuff in my Thunderbird email repository that are no longer accessible via what remains of Thunderbird (basically, the directory structure). Please help me recover from this disaster.

Thanks!

After Thunderbird upgrade to Supernova on my Windows desktop, the "Mark as" button on the toolbar no longer toggles the status of the message. This was a really convenient feature.

Is there a way to get the "Mark as" button to work as it did before? If not, is there a way I can revert back to the pre-Supernova Thunderbird? It was a perfect program, but now with the change to the "Mark as" button and with the mouse scroll wheel no longer working (just in Supernova, works fine for everything else in Windows), seems like Thunderbird took steps backwards with Supernova.

Just a very short while ago, Thunderbird updated to 115.3.1 from whatever it was just before that.  This is under 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

Now, the font size on the mailbox window is way too small, and I cannot seem to change it.

Searching through all the settings, I found this one setting that appeared to possibly be relevant, but change it seems to have no effect at all that I can see.

Is there a relevant setting somewhere else, that I am failing to see?

The font size was just fine before this latest update.

This question was already posted and badly answered in 2016. Now things have changed a lot and Firefox DO try to translate everything which is quite annoying to anyone knowing more than a single language. No extensions related. I need to completely disable that. My firefox is up to date: 118.0.1 (64-bit).

Thank you Arturo

Retrying Save As Web Page, Complete does not retry all files

Using 118.0.1 (64-bit) under Linux Mint 21.2.

Apparent bug: Retrying failed "Web Page, Complete" case of "Save Page As..." does not retry downloading files.

  1. Observed behavior:

1. With the extension "DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials" enabled, typically if I do "Save Page As..." and choose "Web Page, Complete", then one or more files in the resulting "... Files" folder is missing compared to if the extension is disabled. This is probably as it should be. But...

2. In the downloads dropdown the download is shown as "failed". This is arguably as it should be, though the lack of information as to exactly which file download failed is unhelpful. Or arguably it is not as it should be, since from the point of the privacy extension user the download did not fail, it succeeded completely. But...

3. ***If I then click on the retry icon, it re-downloads *only the HTML*, not the files folder, and reports success.***

  1. Expected behavior:

If a "Save As..." "Web Page, Complete" fails, then retry should attempt to re-download all the files, or at least all the ones thought to have failed.

Hi. I have always taken a daily copy of my .thunderbird directory and am convinced I've been able to copy this back a day or two later, if I've mistakenly deleted something. Now it seems, whether I back up the .thunderbird directory or simply the profile file, when it's copied back, Thunderbird reverts to the current contents, as if the data is being stored elsewhere ! What am I doing wrong please? TIA.
