Despite pop ups being barred on my system I get the attached several times a day. Does anyone recognise it and how can I stop it? I have no Firefox extensions, and have run Norton without finding any problems. There is no indication of its source. It has been on my system for more than a month. Thank you Colin O'Brien

Hi - I was presented with an update for Thunderbird, without an option to not update. So I updated. But now I've lost all the appointments and recurring dates on my original calendar. I can't find any sort of backup. Nor any synchronisation. This is going to cause me a ton of trouble and extra work. Can this be rectified? I have a basic knowledge of email so any technical stuff will need to be done by you. I really hope you can help. oh and please don't redirect me to some webpage which offers generic help. Recently my hamburger icon menu (the one that has options like refresh, share etc) broke and all the options are massive. It looks incredibly stupid and is really annoying, is there any way for me to fix it without reinstalling the browser?

I figure this is the best section for asking this question, sorry if it isn't!

How do I get rid of these pinned tabs on the left? When I manually unpin them, it's only temporary as in another browsing session there will be another one that will get pinned, and I don't know how and why. I want to get rid of that functionality altogether, it's really infuriating. I tried a lot of tips from the web and still nothing.

Current situation: I start Firefox and it starts maximized. When I move the mouse cursor to the lower edge of the screen, the taskbar should unhide but it remains hidden. To correct for this by dragging the window so it resizes (floating window) and then maximaze by pressing the maximize button on top right. Now the task bar unhides as expected.

If I drag the window so it resizes (floating window) and then maximaze by dragging it to the top edge of screen, then the taskbar again wont unhide.

I must do this every time I open a new Firefox window.

I can replicate this whenever I want.

Since I came back from 3 weeks off, it seems Firefox is not able to produce sound. I followed "What to do if Firefox won't play sounds" and "Fix common audio and video issues" but none of them seem to have resolved the issue.

I tested on Twitch, YouTube and mdn web docs for <audio>. None of them work.

• DRM : unrelated (audio on mdn doesn't work either)
• Clear the cache: done
• Disable interfering extensions : reseted profiles in about:profiles and during my tests I deleted C:\...\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla after a re-install
• Firefox settings : done, reseted as part of about:profiles deletion

Chrome, Edge and other applications don't have issues.

How do you export your passwords from Firefox into Thunderbird, or get Thunderbird to import them? If Thunderbird can actually save all the passwords, there must be a way to do it. I tried various wording in asking the site for answers, but received zero hits on this particular subject. Thank you for any assistance in this matter.

In the works of Ai agents that are apparently automating everything (which I absolutely dispise) why is Thunderbird forcing me to send one email at a time so as to not show other recipients who I am also emailing.. I do not have the time for this. I also don't want to invest time into a mail merge set up like Chimp or Octopus. I just want to email 30+ people without the others seeing each other. But when I have tested with thunderbird with one customer email and my own as BCC - when I get the email in my inbox it literaly says - FROM: MY BUSINESS. - TO: MY CUSTOMER.. (yes my customers email address - not mine).. What is going on here?? I can not spend 45 minutes sending the same email... using copy and paste etc..

Long time ago it was the only thing we had: if you saved a file, you selected the folder. If you saved the next file, you selceted the folder, but the LRU (last recently used) was the default.

Now download folders depend on the domain, the filetype, the age of the user and the color of the T-shirt he wears. At least that's what I guess. Its so complicated, my IQ is not sufficient to understand it. And if you refuse to have it this way, its always stored to the Download folder.

After long research, opening the low level config page, identifying cryptic names of configuration properties and clicking away warnings I was able to deactivate domain specific download folders. It was so annoying, I immediately forgot how I did it.

Still I have to select the same path again and again and again for each filetype I want to store.

And the FileSelector has its own history, but the last folder I selected does not show. Why? Obviously its a fake history.

I've been suffering from crashes constantly for about two weeks or so, maybe more before I started to feel like something was wrong. I've tried everything on the list as far as I can tell.

Firefox is up to date, windows is up to date, my gpu is up to date, and my security is up to date.

I've scanned for viruses and such, nothing.

I've checked for third party modules, nothing.

I've run in trouble shooting mode and it crashed even faster than without.

The only thing I haven't done is checked my ram, and that's only because I feel like if the ram was the issue I'd be having other problems. Maybe that's foolish to think, I'll go back and try that if necessary.

I have recently downloaded and installed thunderbird on a new computer running window 11 pro. Thunderbird now asks for my password twice in quick succession upon logging in. This has never happened before. There are now error messages or pop-ups. To see my inbox with new emails, i have to enter the second one. I can see the inbox after the first password entry, but not the new emails.

When I click on an Email in the Email-list it will not open in the Mailwindow. Also it will not be marked as read. Same thing with doupleclicking the Mail. It will open the Mail-Tab but it is empty and the Mail is still marked as not yet read. New Mails are downiaded and appear in the Maillist. I´m using Thunderbird 141.0 in Windows 11.

When reading received Emails, I try to use the combination of the 'ctrl' and the '+' key's, --by default will not work until/unless I first use one of the View\Zoom sub-menu item's. By comparison, while 'composing' or 'replying', the combination of the 'ctrl' plus '+' key's will work by default.

This has always been the case for the past year; if not longer.

The website is very unsteady. I even put in malware bites and it slowed down even slower than I’ve ever seen so I deleted malware bites thinking there might be a virus in the system. It’s still running very slow and sporadic not something I’ve seen for a long long time.
