I see many complaints about this new version v 149 for the Mac. The most outrageous one is that you can no longer drag links from a browser page (try BBC) to an email or a doc. You have to copy the link then it won't turn blue and only when received will it show up as a link. Like many others after 30 years use preferred over Safari and others I am seriously losing patience with Firefox. On the very day you announce split screen for Ff windows - you disable a vital feature that has worked for years causing me to waste so far 60 minutes of my hard pressed work time. Maybe this will be corrected in the next upgrade. But I am now intending to avoid all Firefox upgrades for 6 months after being offered. I doubt anyone on this forum will come back on this but my set-up is Mac OS Monterey - and Firefox v 148 worked perfectly before today. I hesitate to try and install the previous version because I am not used to doing such tech moves. Perhaps someone in the Mozilla head office congratulating themselves on the marvellous new upgrade will come across this but I doubt it

Mac OS 26.4.1 Firefox 150.0.1 I don't know if this the right topic for this question: My mailto doesn't seem to be working correctly. There are two places on this web page where there are mailto links and both send me to a screen that asks which application to use for mailto. When I select Firefox it just sends me back to the page that I clicked the mailto link and that's it. Hello Mozilla, FireFox in my default browser, but since you last update to 150.0, now my outlook won't open the hyper links from e-mail with them. It worked just fine between the two before. Now I get a message " this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this compute. Please contact your system administrator." I am the administrator! anybody else report this issue since? I've tried all the internet advised fixes of changing the regedit registers from FIREFOXhtml to just htmlfile, but no joy. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Edward England, UK

I'm using Firefox on Fedora 43 Linux, fully updated, and have it set up to use four desktops on the same monitor, using the Xfce DE and Compiz. For the last several months, any time I click in a link in Thunderbird, instead of switching to the desktop with Firefox on it, it pulls Firefox to Thunderbird's desktop and covers Thunderbird. This has continued through several updates of Firefox and at least one upgrade of Fedora. I don't know if Firefox or Xfce is the issue, but if it's Firefox, where do I look?

When I open email links in Firefox, it opens my mail app (proton) but not a new email message. I’ve been in contact with proton support and they said this is only an issue with Firefox and not other browsers. This take works fine on safari and brave on my end, so it seems like a Firefox specific issue. Is this a bug or is there a setting I can fix on my end?

When I click a link in Firefox sometimes it will open up the new window in Chrome, how can I stop this? I don't want to make Firefox my default browser, as I use Chrome for that.

bold textI have my Windows 11 and Firefox updated as of 4/3/2026. I have two ongoing problems with Firefox. 1. No link works. I keep getting redirected back to my original location. I have used your troubleshoot feature to restart, but it doesn't stay fixed. 2. I have AdBlock Plus Premium and everytime I close the browser it logs me out of my AdBlock account. It is a real irritating problem. I pay to have ads blocked and if I can't keep it from blocking unwanted ads, then I guess I will quit using Firefox.

Google browser keeps popping up in my browserwhen Firefox is my default browser in my setting and downloaded & installed from my Google playstore. I don't like Google and what it does but I feel trapped because I have so much important data on their Gmail and other Google apps. I am a senior with traumatic brain injury and have no tech knowledge or experience to have other options.

I'm a fairly heavy shortcuts user, and recently within the last couple weeks, they've stopped navigating to the intended page. When you click them the shortcuts and the iOS keyboard close, but the browser does not navigate. How can I fix this?

Whenever I search something and there is a youtube video included in the search results, all links direct to that video. In the example image it show me hovering over a website link and in the bottom left hand corner it instead tries to open a youtube link at the bottom of the page.

I used to be able to clink on an image link prior to a Firefox update (I don't know which one) to go to that site. Firefox gives me that it cannot find the server. What can I do to correct this problem?

Investigate why Firefox is not opening links from third-party apps. Firefox is my default web browser but this issue is making my experience difficult as I have to copy the link and use a different browser.
