But there is a download for the ESR version from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
Is there a reason why Linux is not on the main enterprise download page ?

Hello,
support.mozilla.org/kb/website-translation says, when you do not have downloaded translation packs, parts of the packs will be downloaded when you first use the translation function.
My questions about this feature: - How does this work exactly? - Will the words from the website which i try to translate be collected and "downloaded"? - How are the translation language packs parted? - What information will be used and sent to servers/cloud to request these parts of the translation packs?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best Regards
Bjoern

We need to disable the VPN functionality in Firefox for macOS in our environment using a configuration profile deployed via our Jamf Pro VPN. I have done internet searches and found suggestions to use either a custom upload or external application configuration profile payload to disable the VPN functionality but have not been able to find a configuration that works.

If it is not necessary, please tell me how to disable,deactivate, or remove it. This message only appears in firefox. I don't know where it came from and therefore I do not trust it being there. If it was placed there BY fire fox, also please advise.

I am using Firefox as a multi-tab courseware viewer but need to block the user bringing up the Library page as then the user can see the courseware URL's - I am running it on AWS AppStream and can lock most features down., but this one eludes me - there seems to be no policy to block it. I have tried intercepting keystrokes at the GNOME level and autoconfig javascript to block keys. Is there a way to do this please? Blessings, Ian

My in house security team, recently suggested that Firefox be marked for automatic updates. I did so reluctantly and within three weeks, my feelings were confirmed. I logged in and hit the firefox button. Not found. OK, where did they move it? Program Files. OK. I opened Firefox. No configuration, no passwords, and no bookmarks.
The help to restore previous bookmarks does not work, presumably because the file was deleted with everything else in Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox.
You should not force an update that will cause the user to lose work -- never, ever.
If you're going to move the installation directory, the user should get a chance to backup first. I did not get that chance and I've lost work. Further, I've lost confidence in your product. I can no longer recommend Firefox to others as I've done for decades.
This is not a good day for you and your product.

Hi,
In the latest firefox update 149, no start pages are displayed that were distributed with a registry key via group policy. It only works again if you change this setting manually in the Firefox settings.
In Version 148 it´s fine.

Hello,
I recently heard about an app called “Bombitup” that can send a large number of SMS messages repeatedly to a phone number. I am concerned about how such tools might be used for spam or harassment.
My question is: Can tools like this affect online privacy or browser security in any way? Also, are there any settings or features in Firefox that can help protect users from spam-related websites or services connected to such tools?
I would appreciate any advice on how to stay safe online and avoid potential spam or abuse.
Thank you.

When logging into microsoft web apps using Firefox 140.9.0esr (aarch64) on my MacBook Pro, I get an error message reading "Bad Request - Header Field Too Long. HTTP Error 400. A request header field is too long." This error page loads after I sign-in using my workplace credentials on the sign-in page. For example, going to outlook.office365.com/mail.
I've done some searching online already for solutions and have tried: 1) turning off enhanced tracking protection for this site 2) turning off all browser add-ons and extensions 3) regenerating the cookies4.sqlite* files in the Firefox Profiles folder 4) starting in "Troubleshoot Mode"
The only thing that's worked has been to start Firefox in the mode where windows are not private, and then select "New Private Window" from the File menu. Within that window I can log in successfully to Microsoft Web Apps. BUT, when I turn on "Always Use Private Browsing Mode" in the settings and restart firefox, I get the "Header Field Too Long" error message even though the browser window is private. I'd like to run in Always Use Private Browsing mode.
Ideas and help? TIA Dave

I am trying to use group policy to block all extensions from being installed and only allow approved extensions.
I have followed the article:
https://firefox-admin-docs.mozilla.org/reference/policies/extensionsettings/
And here is my JSON config but it doesnt seem to be working and I can still install any extension.
{
"*": {
"blocked_install_message": "Please email the IT Helpdesk if you think an extension should be unblocked.", "installation_mode": "blocked" }, "com.abr.startapp@adminbyrequest.com": { "installation_mode": "force_installed", "install_url": "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/admin-by-request/latest.xpi" } }
Please can anyone advise or confirm if this is a bug.

Hi,
When switching from FF 128esr to 140esr our customers noticed a massive impact in performance for certain webapplications. All Applications effected heavily use pdf-files, users are working mostly exclusive in firefox. Performance is ok when the day starts but gets bad fast. Sooner or later working is no longer possible and firefox needs to be restarted.
The users work on Citrix Desktops, but difference in performance is also seen in Firefox localy (not as bad but its there). Cross-tests with another browser are not possible, because the application works only in FF.
We tried removing almost all policies effective to rule out a specific hardening setting We tried every setting we could find linked to cache (as it seemed related to that) but without success. We collected logs with the Firefox-internal Tools but could not identify a specific Problem.
Any Help is apreciated, thx in advance
