How to fix this .

All of a sudden the allow location permission window is popping up repeatably. I have the option turned off and every time I go to Amazon or Home Depot or any such place the window ops up requesting that location location tracing for the sites. I tried toggling the on/off for the option but it didn't stop it. Help!

All of my read messages have disappeared from Thunderbird and appear to have been deleted. How do I get them back?? I have no idea how this happened as I haven't changed any settings prior to this happening. I just opened my account this morning and they were gone.

I am experiencing strange behaviour with Thunderbird and certain add-ons. For some time now, when I use certain add-ons that are supposed to display a menu, the menu does not appear. It is replaced by a circle (see attached image : two different add-ons, not showing simultaneously, but merged into the same capture). I have disabled all other add-ons, but this has not resolved the issue. I think there must be a setting that is causing the problem. But with so many settings, I don't know where to look.

Does anyone know how to find the reason for this behaviour?

I am using Thunderbird 139.0.2 (64-bit) with Windows 11.

So, my problem is with HW acceleration in FF. Basically:

If its enabled: It causes graphical artifacts in videos [See screenshot]. If its disabled: It brings screen tear in to videos and autoscroll [Like if Vsync is disabled in games].

I tried safe mode, I tried reinstall of FF, I tried disabling and enabling extensions. I tried to set Vsync on in Nvidia control panel... the only thing that impact those bugs is HW acceleration in FF.

My drivers are up to date, my browser is up to date, yet there is such trouble.

Any ideas or solutions?

I exported Outlook Contacts to a .csv file and imported giberish to the Thunderbird Personal Address book. Can the giberish be block deleted? How should the Outlook Contacts be transferred to Thunderbird? Secondly, I exported Outlook Contacts to gmail and have used them on the web based gmail app to send messages. Don't remeber how the gmail contacts got to the Thunderbird Address book, but they don't work. The first message I sent from Thunderbird from my wife's gmail address to my hotmail address produced the following error:

Both imported address books are unuseable. Please help.

I have a laptop with windows 10 & Thunderbird 128.9.1 and a Samsung S10 using the Samsung email. Both are configured with IMAP. When I open the Samsung email to view and download emails, I can then get home and open my laptop with Thunderbird where it will also download.

If I were to log onto the Gmail through a web browser the email will show in the "all mail" label and no longer be in the inbox, unless I do the phone first and it stays in the inbox until downloaded on the laptop.

so I can't get it on the phone if the laptop is used first. Any ideas ? because logging on to Gmail through the web browser to forward it myself is a pain thanks in advance Mick

Maybe after update, or i dont know why, but now. when youtube (or any other videoplayer) in fullscreen - taskbar menu is visible (Is on topscreen). In google chrome problem is not repeats. I'm using StartAllBack app for classic start menu, but till that day all was fine. I checked on two devices with firefox - the same problem (StartAllBack or windows version wasnt cahnged). I have set my account to "Don't delete any messages", because I frequently want to reread a deleted message in my Trash folder. However, when I go into my Trash folder to search for a deleted message, I am finding that messages older than a certain date have disappeared, although I've done nothing to permanently delete them. For example, today everything older than May 3 is gone. What can I do to prevent this?

A message sent to me never appeared in my mailbox but was labeled "blacklisted by user" I cannot find a way to undo this !
