  1. Resize the Firefox window so that part of the desktop is showing.
  2. Click and drag the icon on the left side of the address bar (usually a globe or a padlock) onto the desktop.

If you want to do it from the context menu then an extension like "Save File to" should do it (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/save-file-to/?src=userprofile).
