I also have this issue on my Samsung Galaxy S2 T989. But I notice on my father's phone, an LG optimus, his loads right up very quickly. I thought that was peculiar. However, is there any settings in about:config that we can experiment with that could speed things up a bit? I wouldn't mind experimenting.

No help? Really? Do the common speed tweaks found in about:config used in the desktop version of firefox help with mobile versions as well?
