I just switched from IE to Firefox, now I find viruses on my computer everyday. Before when I used IE that never happened. I use Avira, is it not working with Firefox? What do I have to do to fix this problem?

You may want to run some supplemental scans. These three tools are highly regarded (and free):

If you installed Firefox from an unofficial source, you might want to uninstall it and re-install from the official site: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/fx/#desktop

What viruses are you finding? Can you post a list or screen shot?

Note that some security software will list tracking cookies as threats to your privacy. Those are not viruses and can be managed with cookie settings or add-ons that fine-tune how Firefox manages cookies.

You may also want to Install an ad-blocker such as https://adblockplus.org.

What are these "viruses"? Are they real viruses, or just like cookies?

These are some of the viruses that Avira found: TR/Crypt.zpack.3870 Trojan- It found 3 of those today and moved to quarantine. Yesterday it found 19 Viruses or unwanted programs. They were JAVA/Lamar.hnw with a bunch of different numbers after it, and I do also have Malwarbytes Anti-Malware. Like I said I had no problems before I started using Firefox and I did download it from Mozilla web site.

Can you check whether you have any extensions installed? Those would be listed here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

Try disabling anything there for 48 hours.

jscher2000, What do you mean by disabling anything for 48 hours. are you saying everything there should be disabled?

more options

Yes, try disabling all extensions.

If you want comments on the safety of what you have, you can copy/paste a list of them from the following page:

Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Copy text to clipboard" button

When pasting here, you can scroll down and delete everything after the list of extensions. (Important Modified Preferences and so forth.)

OK I'll try that and thank you very much jscher2000

Seems like this problem is outside of Firefox, see my first post and scan all programs. Does this happen in other browsers?
