Downloads fail after a couple seconds (any file type)

This occurs often (about 1 in 5). When I attempt to download a file (such as firefox) The download will begin and show up in the download window but the download will stop after a few Kb and Firefox will say the download is complete when obviously the file is not completely downloaded.

This has been an on-going annoyance going as far back in versions as I can recall. But I do not recall it occurring during version 3.6.x

Now, I do utilize a number of plug-ins as you will see below. ( I hope none of them are causing this issue as I love and use them all.)

Thank you for your assistance.

Apparently it is the Add-on called "InterClue" it is an add-on that allows one to preview links on a web page.

hello Cynyster, you can easily check if one of your addons is causing the problem when you launch firefox in safe mode once (extensions will be temporarily disabled there).

Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

in case the issue is also occurring in safemode, please go through the troubleshooting steps described in What to do if you can't download or save files

It does appear to be one of my add-ons. I will start with the "download status bar" to see if it is the culprit
