I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.4 and Firefox 17.

Using instructions from this page ( ) I installed the flash player and I can play flash videos on various websites, including youtube *IF* I enter the "desktop" version of the website.

But if I open the mobile version of the youtube website ( ) and I try to play a video, then the built-in youtube for android application is being launched automatically. This does not happen if I use the default android internet browser; in this case, the youtube videos are played correctly, without any unwanted redirect or application launch occurring.

I would like to know if I can configure firefox to play youtube videos by itself instead of launching the youtube application.

Thank you.

The native Android Youtube player does a much better job of handing video playback than embeded flash in a browser.
