What mobile service provider? We have had problems with mobile service providers blocking Firefox for Android because they are trying to stop people tethering to desktop devices.

This is a bug that is fixed with Aurora (Firefox 19)

See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749352

Aurora will become Firefox Beta very soon.
