When I open a browser page and it has blank fields, it populates those fields with prompts, such as, "Enter email adress here" How do I stop that?

Any blank fields that it identifies as needing data, such as email, address, phone number, it will fill with that prompt. Problem is It fills every blank and if I don't go to each field and remove the message, I get an error when I submit. This started when I was trying to set up auto-fill. But I don't remember what I changed to make this happen. Help!

I already have auto-fill set up. When I start to type an address, etc, it gives me a drop down list. That's not the issue. It's that almost every empty field populates with a prompt message that I have to remove if I'm not using that field
