The problem is associated with attachments to incoming emails. The first time this happened I searched for a solution and ended up installing something called speedy. The problem did not resolve itself and I uninstalled the software. Now when I try to read a pdf attachment it appears that the file is somehow converted to a speedy.ashx file and I can't read it.
