Since updating Zonealarm Extreme, have lost bookmarks and unable to bookmark or view site history

ZoneAlarm 10.0.250.000 Windows XP Firefox 4.0

Everything was working when I had firefox 4.0 and had upgraded the Zonealarm Extreme. I then installed Firefox 7.0 and lost my toolbars, and plugins. Hoping to restore things to working order I uninstalled 7.0 and re-installed 4.0 and now have lost my bookmarks, can no longer bookmark, or show histories, or restore previous session etc.

How I get the browser to work properly?
