Hi all

I have a standard XP desktop PC . Nothing unusual. Just upgraded to FF4.

I know the new go/stop/reload "changing" button is at the right end of the toolbar but I think someone here has right clicked on it and hit the "hide" option.

The button is longer visible and I can't get it back!

I've tried right clicking that area of the toolbar to see of there's a "reveal" or "unhide" option but there isn't.

I tried looking through tools & options & view. Nothing.

Tried right clicking the toolbar and looking through the "customise" list but still nothing.

(Bangs head on desk)

Any tips on revealing the go/stop/reload button again would be much appreciated by this frustrated FF4 user.

Right click a blank part of the Tab Bar and go to Customize. A panel will open and you might find it in there. If you do, just drag it out and place it wherever you want it.

Also, while the panel is open you can rearrange the layout to your liking by dragging elements, buttons etc., around.

Sorry Xircal .... you didn't read all my post.

I said...

"Tried right clicking the toolbar and looking through the "customise" list but still nothing. "

Can you think of anything else?

Oops! Sorry, missed that bit.

Go to Customize again and when the panel opens, click the button called "Restore Default Set".

Did that. Even tried reloading FF4. Nothing seems to have changed. I still cannot see the go/stop/reload button.

I'm positive the new go/stop/reload button WAS there when I first upgraded to FF4. Now it's disappeared.

If you can think of anything other ideas let me know!

Excellent.

Many thanks.

You saved my sanity.

BOTH the last two posts in that thread were right ... the "right click on a space on page and select reload" and/or the reload bent arrow at the end of the address bar.

Fantastic.

All OK now.

(But why did Mozilla change it if it worked before???)

Try to delete localstore.rdf , see:

I think Moz wants to create a new image for future versions of Firefox, so they're experimenting with the UI. That's just a guess on my part though.

You may very well be right, Xircal.

No doubt we'll see.

Thanks again.
