I’m running Firefox 3.5.4 with XP Home.

The Bing Web page pops up whenever I enter just part of a web page name, i.e. “Netflex” gets Bing page with all the different sites with the word “Netflex”. I looked in Add/Remove and the subcategories of Add-ons and do not find an entry for either Bing or Search Bar. I ran a file search for “bing” and in a subfolder of Firefox\Profiles found “bing.xml” in the folder \fkmiryy\default\search plugins.

How can I remove just Bing.xml without damaging anything else?
