Firefox 3.6.12 exits with no message when I use an NFS home directory and install greasemonkey or NoScript.

It worked in previous versions of Firefox. It stopped working when I upgraded to 3.6.12 . It works if my home directory is on local disk. It works if I do not install Greasemonkey or NoScript. It does not work if I symlink the ~/.mozilla directory to a directory on local disk. If I have a working system on local disk and move it to NFS, it stops working. All this was tried on two different user accounts. I'm running Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 SUSE/3.6.12-0.7.1 Firefox/3.6.12
