Trying to access my FTP website I get Error 425 "Can't open data connection" so how do I correct this ??

I recently installed Firefox and most things are working fine. I can access websites, including 5 of my own. However when I try to access my FTP website I receive an error message #425 saying "can't open data connection". My FTP site is administered by a small hosting company called Ultra Web Solutions in Georgia, USA. 

   Do you think this can be corrected by some security option setting in "Internet Options" or would this be a setting that needs correction  by Ultra Web Solutions ??
  Is there some place on Firefox Help that defines the different error numbers and gives assistance for correcting the problem ??
