I cannot uninstall the beta version. Can someone advise me on why it does not list on control panel - remove programs.
My system has been having frequent blue screen crashes and I have been advised to get rid of all programs recently installed. This is one of those.

"Of course, anyone working with MozFire would know how it's supposed to be listed under this utility" You would be surprised how many look in the alphabetized list in Add or Remove Programs and, when they do not find in under the F's, say it is not there.
You can look in the Firefox installation folder, there is an Uninstall folder; in that Uninstall folder, click on helper.exe to see if you can uninstall it. Firefox should be closed, of course, but you already knew that.

Mozilla products show on the Add or Remove Programs listing as "Mozilla xxxxx (version#). In your case it would be "Mozilla Firefox (4.0b2)".
If you want to keep your personal data (bookmarks, username/passwords, etc.), be sure the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" box is un-checked during the un-install process. See image below.
Thanks for your reply H-7, but I guess I wasn't clear in my question. The program remains on my Program list (so if you click start programs, there is Moz Firefox 4.0b2) and it opens normally. The problem is that it does not appear on the Add or Remove Programs listing. Can anyone advise on how to remove this version under these circumstances. Of course, anyone working with MozFire would know how it's supposed to be listed under this utility, but what does one do when it doesn't appear there but it's still apparently on the list of programs. I wish I knew how this happened.

Thank you both, the uninstaller in the folder did the trick.
You are welcome.
This is all very frustrating. My beta is in the Programs & Features as Mozilla Firefox 4.0b4 . It's just that when I highlight it, click on the4 box to the left, then click on "Uninstall" nothing happens.
When I tried the suggestion to open the Uninstall folder and consult "Helper.exe" file the same thing didn't happen. Open, highlight file, click on it. Nothing.
What is going on?
I finally just deleted the firefox beta folders but I'm sure there are plenty of Firefox parts smoldering in lots of folders I can't even dream of! I think I'll go try CCleaner!!!
