Tabs randomly freeze/unresponsive after resuming from sleep (Windows 11)

Hi everyone,

Since updating to Firefox 129 on Windows 11, some tabs become unresponsive after my laptop wakes from sleep — no crash, no "Not Responding" warning, just frozen. about:processes shows the tab still running with ~0% CPU, so it's not hung, just not repainting.

Tried: disabling hardware acceleration (helps a bit), fresh profile (still happens), Troubleshoot Mode (less frequent but not gone).

Anyone else seeing this? Known WebRender/compositor bug tied to sleep/resume, or a Windows 11 power management conflict?

Thanks!

Why are you using an old version of Firefox 129 on Windows 11? Is there a specific reason?

So

  • Update Firefox
  • Check for Graphics Driver Updates
