I am experiencing an issue where YouTube videos are very slow, buffering frequently, or playing in low quality when using Firefox on my computer. This problem happens even when my internet connection seems fine for other websites.

I have tried refreshing the page and restarting the browser, but the issue still continues. I would like help to understand what might be causing this and how I can fix it.

Here is some additional information about my issue:

  • Device: Windows PC
  • Browser: Firefox (latest version)
  • Problem: YouTube videos buffer a lot, play slowly, or drop to low quality
  • Internet: Works fine on other websites
  • Tried: Refreshing the page and restarting the browser

Additional notes:

  • The issue mostly happens on YouTube only
  • I have not tested in other browsers yet / (or say: it works fine in Chrome if that’s true)
  • I am not using a VPN

Please let me know what steps I should try next to fix this issue.
