I have had the Firefox App on my system for many years. Do I need to download it again to obtain the VPN?

Hi there, short answer, no! As long as you've updated your Firefox browser to the latest version and are in an region where this experiment is live (US, FR, DE, CA), you should have it!
If you aren't seeing the VPN icon in the top right are of Firefox after updating, you can add the VPN by right clicking on the toolbar (any empty space in the top right corner of the browser) and selecting "Customize toolbar". From there, locate and select the "VPN" icon and drag it into the toolbar on the top right. Then click "Done" in the bottom right corner.
Finally, just click on the VPN icon in the toolbar and hit "Get Started".

This "VPN in Firefox" feature is experimental and is being introduced to the Firefox user base through a progressive rollout starting in Fx 149.0. It may not yet be available to all users.
Users will have 50 gigabytes of data monthly in the U.S., France, Germany and U.K. to start. Available in Firefox 149 starting March 24.

To use VPN, you need to sign in with a Mozilla account. If you’re eligible, you’ll see a prompt in the Firefox toolbar inviting you to set up the feature.
