probably time to ditch it completely

Well, I just updated and still have the same problems. This browser is simply impossible to use; I can't even throw it away and forget about it: it can't load a single page without getting stuck halfway through, after which the app freezes and has to be interrupted, unloaded from memory, and only then (maybe) will the page load! It's been like this for six months now. It's probably time to ditch it completely!

Hi

What other apps do you have open on your Android device?

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox for Android?

That is no longer the case, as I have deleted all extensions; however, the problem persists to this day: the application freezes after opening a second tab—and sometimes even on the first one. I am forced to clear all cookies, close the app, and reopen it; only then might the tab finally load. I do not use the app while signed into a Mozilla account; I use it exclusively without logging in. I have a VPN installed on my phone, configured in tunnel mode. I switch between various internet service providers, yet the behavior of your browser remains exactly the same across all of them—it is simply atrocious. Despite all this, other internet-dependent applications function correctly—including Google, WhatsApp, Telegram, and various other messengers (Discord among them). Oh, and one more detail: Mozilla Firefox is set as my default browser. I also have Google Chrome installed, but since I am unable to uninstall it from the device, I simply do not use it. Additionally, there is another generic, "no-name" browser pre-installed by the device manufacturer (Redmi).

That sounds maddening. A few quick things to try: switch to a different Wi‑Fi or toggle mobile data, restart your phone, try Private mode (or disable any add‑ons), clear the app cache, and if nothing helps, reinstall Firefox. or update Firefox from the Play Store (or the official GitHub release page) — tell us whether it happens on all sites or only some and whether you use a VPN or adblocker — that’ll help us narrow it down. Thanks for sticking with it.
