Reading PDF documents in firefox
Hello... currently when I try to open a PDF from the internet, I cannot open it in Firefox. Specifically I have been adding PDF files to a FB page, but cannot open the document when browsing in Firefox. I can open it, when using EDGE.

Hi
Firefox has a built-in PDF viewer, and you can control whether it opens PDF files in the browser or downloads them.
Click the Menu > Settings > General > Applications >
Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and ensure it is set to:
Open in Firefox: This is the default and should open the PDF in the browser.
Always Ask: This will prompt you every time and let you choose to open it in Firefox or save it.
If the action is set to Save File, Firefox will download it instead of opening it directly. Change the action to Open in Firefox. For more info see Manage file types and download actions in Firefox
Soo, what I noticed is-when I click on the PDF file, it tries to go to the downloads-which is fine, I can see it there. However, I am getting a "failed" on the PDF file, so something is still not quite right.
Hi Susan, is a specific group membership required to read the PDFs? One possible reason for a download to fail is if the server that hosts the file is not able to confirm that you are signed in and your account has the required group membership. This might be caused by a cookie issue or perhaps the Facebook Container extension.
As a first step, if you right-click that download list entry and Copy Download Link, then paste the address in the address bar and try to load it there, do you get the PDF or an error message?
