Adding @outlook address to addressbook

When I click the little white icon next to an email address AND it's a @outlook.com email, the icon does NOT turn blue (maybe blue/green). However the address was added to the my local Address Book. When I go and edit the this new email address, the updated info is not displayed in the email pane (in the From column), it still just appears with their email address.
