Firefox becomes stuck in landscape view when watching videos. Clears after restart until watching videos again in landscape mode.

Chosen solution

I’ve run into something similar on a company tablet — Firefox gets locked into landscape after playing full-screen videos, especially from embedded players (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).

In our case (we use devices for lead review dashboards at Phonexa), we had to adjust auto-rotate settings and also clear cached display preferences. You might also want to check if Firefox’s “Restore session” feature is reloading something weird.

Try disabling hardware acceleration under Settings > Performance, and see if it still happens. That fixed it for us temporarily until a patch came through.

Hope it helps!
