I am using Gmail as my email hosting and connecting via IMAP. Has not been an issue for years now, but all of a sudden there is an issue with Thunderbird connecting to Gmail. It keeps asking for password, and does not sync. This all started yesterday 04/28/2025. Is there some sort of update? Is it on the Thundebird side or the Gmail side that I need to update something? I have not changed any of my log in credentials. Thank you for any input possible.

Assuming you're using OAuth2 authentication for your Gmail account, the authentication token Thunderbird remembered does expire every once in a while. When that happens Gmail will prompt you to re-authenticate.
