When I open a website in Firefox, the page opens OK but there Wikipedia website also opens in the background. The icon appears on the top row to the left of the name of the website I opened. When I close Firefox, the Wikipedia site opens and I have to close that too. Every time. What is going on? How can I get rid of it? Thanks. Windows 11.

I solved it I did a R click on the icon and chose 'unpin'. That got rid of it.

What is the purpose of 'pip'? when would it be useful?
