Hi Gabriel, could you describe the steps to get to that screen? I can't tell whether it is a sidebar on Firefox Beta/Developer for Windows, or on a mobile device, or in Responsive Design Mode on Windows?
Hmm, okay, I see now. If I open the sidebar, enable AI Chatbot, select Gemini and then test, the mic permission dialog doesn't appear, so the mic doesn't work.
When I close the sidebar and repeat with the Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+J) open, I see this error:
TypeError: chromeDoc.defaultView.PopupNotifications is undefined WebRTCParent.sys.mjs:1316:3
I'm not quite sure what is happening in that part of the code (https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/browser/actors/WebRTCParent.sys.mjs#1316), so it's difficult to think of a workaround.
I found a related bug and added a reference to this thread:

For now, if you prefer microphone input, I think you have to use Gemini in its own tab instead of in the sidebar.
I have the same issue on my flatpack stable version of FireFox using Bazzite Linux, if I'm in the tabbed portion of the web browser, it will ask for microphone permissions, and it will work there, but even after allowing microphone persmissions for https://gemini.google.com/app it still won't even begin to invoke the microphone in the sidbar.
