I've seen cites that prove that Mozilla's latest policy updates (thanks for no notice) are now positioning Firefox to sell our data for both ad targeting and AI training purposes. I oppose both, and have no use for Firefox if it joins those already disrespecting and monetizing user privacy in those regards. How do I a) ensure I'm getting the plain language notices of further policy updates, and b) register my dismay with Firefox for this betrayal? While you're coming up with an answer, I'll be discontinuing my monthly support for the Mozilla Foundation. I have HAD IT with the greed people ruining everything.

Seems like there are some confusion or misunderstanding because Mozilla made a terms of use for Firefox for the first time. https://blog.mozilla.org/en/products/firefox/firefox-news/firefox-terms-of-use/

UPDATE: We’ve seen a little confusion about the language regarding licenses, so we want to clear that up. We need a license to allow us to make some of the basic functionality of Firefox possible. Without it, we couldn’t use information typed into Firefox, for example. It does NOT give us ownership of your data or a right to use it for anything other than what is described in the Privacy Notice.

What functionality? If it's suggestions, ads, or AI training, I don't want any of that. I don't see any ads anywhere for anything and will not use any product that forces ads on me or suggestions I can't turn off.

Please state what functionality will not be possible without the changes to privacy policy and tou and allow us to opt out or download a Firefox that does not include those features.

We're looking for crystal clear transparency because many of us here since Netscape are ready to bail over this last fiasco.
