I need to replace the 64-bit Thunderbird with a 32-bit version to sync with a 32-bit application. I have not been able to find a download site which does not require also downloading unknown add-ons. Is there one, or do I just trust my luck?

You can download the 32 bit version on Thunderbird's official website. See link below

Select Need a Specific installer, and choose 32 bit.
