I just updated Thunderbird to 115.9.0 (64-bit) after many years. Took me a bit to get used to the new look-and-feel, but I do like it. Just noticed a change in how the compacting looks. With my old version, each time I did the compacting, I could see the progress down on the status toolbar, where it showed each folder as it was compacted on the left side and on the right side, a progress bar. I'm not seeing that now. In fact, I don't see any indication of the compacting progress at all. Am I missing something obvious? Thank you

It is possible that is unreliable for for you in version 115.

Compact is being rewritten for version 128, coming out this summer. So I wouldn't worry about the current situation.

Also, your profile is in a non-standard location based on your posting in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1408934. Which could result in antivirus software causing issues.

Actually just discovered what's happening. In the old version, I would click on File -> Compact Folders and it would compact everything, no matter which folder in the tree was selected. Now, it does nothing. Just realized that if Local Folders is selected, I right-click on it and select Compact, it acts like the old days and compacts everything, showing the process on the status bar.
