Hi guys,

I recently found an image i really like, but the author removed it. It is still open in my browser tab and I can see it in full resolution. I found it in the about:cache section, but besides looking at the hexadecimal display of the data (which is 3 MB and thus too big for the common android clipboard), it seems impossible to get this image out of the cache. Tap-hold on the image in the firefox tab gives the option to save the image, but that doesen't work since it tries to download it again, which is impossible. Is there any way or tool to get the image saved? On a PC, I know that this would be easy, but on android, it seems impossible.

Best regards,

  Nikolas

Hi

What happens when you long press and save the image? You should be able to find it in your downloads folder through the file manager on your Android device.

Then it tries to download the image again and reports "download failed". I need to get it from the cache and there seems to be no option for that.

You would need to root your device (strongly not recommended as it can permanently damage your device and lead to lost data).

Outside of a screenshot which you could then reverse image search to possibly find a copy you could download, I am not sure what else we can suggest.
