My Sent email is not going in the Sent folder

I have preferences set so the Sent email goes in the Home Sent folder. It seems to work when I send an original email but when I reply to an email, the "reply" shows up in my In Box.

Sent is Sent - whether it's an original message or a Reply. It should show up in the Sent folder.

The problem happens on the most recent Thunderbird running on a newer Mac Mini with Monterey OS.
