Thunderbird not opening with Inbox active

Before the latest update to Thunderbird, it opened with my Inbox highlighted and active. Now it does not. Can this be changed back to the inbox being active?

TB should open with the folder that was open at last closing. If it isn't, delete session.json from the profile folder, with TB closed (Help/More Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder).

There is an add-on to set the opening folder whatever the state at last closing:
