Hi, do you mean on the built-in Firefox Home / new tab page?

If the site already has a square somewhere in the Shortcuts section, you can hover over the square until until a ••• menu button appears, click than, then pin the site. You also can rearrange those squares as desired.

If the site isn't there at all -- you can add more rows of shortcuts to see -- you can use that same menu to edit an existing square.
