Thunderbird 78.14.0 (64-bit) opens with cursor in wrong place

Using LinuxMint 20.2, Thunderbird 78.14.0 (64-bit) (AMD 64) When Thunderbird starts, the cursor used to be on INBOX now the cursor is on TRASH. Tired to fix this by running forcefsck, didn't help. Tried to fix this by running Synaptic Package Manager > Mark for Reinstallation, didn't help. Please, what to do to get cursor to again be on INBOX when Thunderbird starts.

TB should open in the folder that was open at last closing. If not, Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Directory, close TB, delete session.json, the file that stores the last open folder and opened tabs.

To set a specific folder to open, use this add-on:
