Hi, I note that a Mozilla VPN package has just been released for Ubuntu Focal (20.04). Are there any plans to provide a package for Bionic (18.04)? I am reluctant to upgrade my system at the moment. Thanks. Jeremy

Hello!

At this moment we only support Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) and 20.10 (Groovy Gorilla). Our development team is suggesting if you would be open to compiling yourself using these instructions for other versions of Ubuntu? https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/mozilla-vpn-client/blob/main/README.md

Edit: There is a PPA for QT 5.15 on Ubuntu 20.04 https://launchpad.net/~beineri/+archive/ubuntu/opt-qt-5.15.2-focal

Original post: I'm unable to install the Mozilla VPN on Ubuntu 20.04. It requires QT 5.15.2, but 20.04 only has 5.12.

Many thanks for the advice! I will try it when I have time. Regards, Jeremy

For future visitors, seems like (on Jan 25, 2021) support for older distributions was released: https://launchpad.net/~mozillacorp/+archive/ubuntu/mozillavpn
