Passwords disappeared after version 80 installed

Do version 80 arrived and my passwords departed. So did all my open tabs. I’m more worried about the passwords. I don’t have avast or avg only windows defender. I tried going to a previous restore point but that didn’t work. I tried copying the old Firefox data files across and that didn’t work either.

Could really do with some help here as I have hundreds of logins.

Chosen solution

I decided to downgrade to 78.0.2 then copy the files from the "Old Firefox Data" folder across and there were my passwords. I then decided to risk doing a manual upgrade to 80.0.1 and my passwords stayed.

So problem sorted. (Except I didn't get my tabs back.

Hi 

After u updated your are firefox, it may take sometime to gey your password to the new version. Depending upon your devices it may take a hour or 2. So be patient and try disabling add ons if it dosen't happen
